What is honed stone?

Honed stone is a satin smooth surface finish with little or no gloss. Since most granite and marble slabs are polished to a gloss at the quarry and shipped to us that way, Pacific Stoneworks refinishes that surface for any jobs that customers request to be honed.  Honed stone is abraded by hand to acheive the satin, honed appearance.
