Does honed stone stain more easily?

A honed finish does not stain more easily.  Once sealed, it has the same stain repellency as polished granite.  However, a honed finish may require a little more maintenance since it has a more abraded surface.  To be specific, a food substance may require a little more effort to remove from a honed surface than it would on a polished surface.
