What are seams? Seams are the joints where two pieces of stone meet. Seams in slab countertops are usually dictated by the slab size or the cabinet design of the project. In all cases where seams are necessary, we include the customer in the decision as to where the seam is located. We do everything possible to avoid or reduce the number of seams in a job. Then, we do everything possible to make the seams less apparent. We use epoxy resin to secure and seal the seam. We color the resin to make it blend with your particular stone. We also match the color and grain of adjoining pieces to de-emphasize the seams.
