Does natural stone need sealer? Yes. Pacific Stoneworks seals all of our jobs at least twice before installation. We use a modern, penetrating, V.O.C. (volatile organic compound) compliant non-distillate-based sealer that is a very long-lasting and was not available until recently. It penetrates without changing color or remaining on the surface of the stone, but prevents stains from the inside-out. How do I maintain stone countertops? We recommend cleaning with warm water and, if necessary, an everyday liquid dish detergent (such as Ivory Liquid, Palmolive, etc.), which is mild and antibacterial. Avoid using general-purpose cleaners, scouring powders, pads or creams, which contain abrasives or harsh chemicals. |
