Limestone

A relatively young natural stone known for typically subtle character in the form of even coloration, relaxed patterning and even discernable fossilized sea shells.

Like marble and travertine, limestone will develop a patina over time due to use and chemical reactions. Minerals, oils and acids in particular react with the calcium carbonate inherent in the stone to cause this patina.

Pacific Stoneworks always recommends the viewing and selection of natural stone slabs by customers and are happy to assist in this part of the process.
